The CPS Story

Co-operative Purchasing Services Ltd (CPS) was established in February 1980 for the purpose of purchasing hardware and rural products for independent hardware stores and rural outlets. As the co-operative has developed we have grown to a membership of over 500 independent stores.

Today the primary focus of CPS is the provision of buying and marketing services, and back of store support services.

CPS is proud to service two banner groups, MAKIT Hardware and Servis Hardware. Through the dedicated support of Members and vigorous marketing strategies MAKIT has become one of the states most successful promotional groups.

WA Hardware Services (WAHS) is a wholesale distribution company established by CPS and Mitre10 in 2004 to service the supply needs to our Members. WAHS provides to all Members ex warehouse supply of over 20,000 lines and agency based (central billing) distribution arrangements for over 60,000 products from a network of over 2000 suppliers.
